He's good - there are a lot of online resources for the weekly parshiyot and commentaries. JTS has an email list you can get on. Chabadonline (the magazine's site) has links to several commentaries, including Rashi, in English.
It would be nice if each week different people would post a D'Var Torah for the week. Something to plan on reading each week. It wouldn't have to be something original. It could be from another source.
I am definitely not a 'chabadnik', but I do admire their outreach efforts. The website is remarkably welcoming and easy to navigate, and for every holiday, the site puts up abundant material for every possible level, including material for children. It's an extremely useful site.
I refer to it frequently for candle-lighting times - there's an app where you put in your location and get the times, either for one date, or for the next four to six weeks. Really helpful.
the section on 'Parsha' has the parsha text in English, Rashi in English, several OTHER commentaries in English, a family/children version, 'the parsha in a nutshell' and plenty of other resources.
