I'm posting this under "Jewish observance" because all observant Jews are expected to engage in ongoing and regular Jewish study. The quote below was posted by a member of my lay-led minyan who studies with his wife studied for a year or more at the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem and they are both Jewish educators. They also both attended Orthodox Jewish high schools, so obviously have a very high level of learning, but I believe that the online materials described here are accessible to people with much less background. I left my friend's the sign-off in the quote, since I in turn wish an "easy fast" for all of you who observe Yom Kippur.
[My wife] and I have both studied Talmud with Dr. Josh Kulp, and until now if you wanted to do likewise, you had to either go to the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem OR be on staff at Camp Ramah in Palmer MA.
Now, there's a third option. And it's cheap. In fact, it's free.
CY is starting a Daf Shevui program. Not Daf Yomi- A page a day is a breakneck speed, skating over the surface at high speed. What CY is starting with Dr. Kulp is Daf Shevui- a daf each week (shabbat is for review).
