I work full time and I travel, so even though I'd LOVE to bake and braid my own challah every week, we usually purchase it from our local bakery who makes fresh loaves every Friday afternoon.
I stumbled upon these molds though, and they got great reviews! They come in small, med and large I believe, and even have molds for rolls. I haven't used it yet, but my plan is to whip up the dough tonight, let them rise in the molds and store in the fridge, and tomorrow when I get home they can go right into the oven!!! The challah rises and cooks in the bakeware, and ten minutes before its done you remove from the mold and brush with eggwash and return to the oven
I'll post an update how it works out for us, we purchased two of the small loaf molds. I read it is also very good for gluten free recipes, since that dough is notoriously difficult to handle or braid.
