Yet another online festival that I found out about somewhat late. But there are still two more days left for this one, May 27-28. There are various live cooking shows and interviews, and also pre-recorded ones. Some are free, others are available for registered participants which requires only for a nominal $18 suggested donation. I'm giving the link for the "anytime videos" since those are the simplest to access and are a good way to sample before committing to registering. Lots of well known people in the Jewish food world are presenters. Jewish Food Fest Anytime Videos
My husband and I watched two of the "anytime" short videos on "Herring and Russ & Daughters" (my husband loves herring) and "Noshing through history: the Lower East Side". Unfortunately, he is really busy right now grading all the late work that his high school students turned in just before grades need to be submitted because he is a softy and takes late work for partial credit up to the end to encourage the students not at least try to do the work. (Yes, he is one of those special teachers who gamely worked extra hard to continue to teach online as much as he would have in preson---and most of his students showed up on Zoom at the regularly scheduled time for his classes.) So right now he doesn't have a lot of time to watch these fun videos with me. I'm hoping that he will finish on Wednesday night, so that at least we might be able to watch some between our pre-Shavuot cooking on Thursday.
I hope that someone in this group reads this thread about this festival in time to take advantage of it.
